It's important to give people the space to process their illness and come to terms with their situation in their own way and time. However, if given the opportunity, it's important to express how much you care, how much they mean to you and any unresolved issues that you feel need to be addressed.

Talking things out around illness

Leaving things unsaid can create unresolved feelings and regrets, which can weigh heavily on our conscience. It's important to remember that we can never truly know when our time will come or the time of our loved ones, so taking the opportunity to express our feelings and thoughts can bring closure and peace in the long run.

Being able to say how you feel is important

It's crucial to find ways to express ourselves and communicate with loved ones, especially around illness and end-of-life situations. While it may be difficult, it's important to overcome the fear and discomfort and say what needs to be said. It's never too late to open up and express ourselves, and the peace that comes from it is invaluable.

It is important to respect their wishes

It's important to respect their wishes and give them the space and time they need to come to terms with their illness and any related decisions. It can be difficult and emotional for both parties, but it's important to remember that everyone handles things differently.

Some may want to have deep conversations about the future, while others may prefer to focus on the present and make the most of the time they have left. As loved ones, it's our role to support and be there for them, in whichever way they choose.
