We will know the whole story, when we come to understand our lives and why our lives turn out the way they do. I couldn’t have done what I have with my blog without understanding my story. My Disability Was Never About Me.

Our Lives are for Us To Understand

We owe it to ourselves to understand our life. Whatever we get to deal with in childhood that we didn’t know about, may not have not been something our parents wanted to know about, but whatever their reasoning, there is no excuse. It's not even a discussion point.

The whole story encompasses the facts, learning about something in ways we didn’t know before, a single entity comprised of a collection of parts, something that requires our whole attention and understanding.

Without the help of my blog @thecpdiary I could never have put those words together, to know or understand my disability.

I Chose to Write my Story in a Non-Judgmental Way

I love the fact that I know everything there is to know about myself. I tell my story in a self-contained place and in a non-judgmental way. I seriously thought I may have to go to the grave not knowing. That thought did cross my mind.

It is a book 'of our times.' It is a book that talks us all through our lives, no matter our difficulties, issues or experiences, in a way that allows us to think about our lives positively, so that we are able to see our lives from a totally new perspective.

  1. Clearly your book tells the whole story, a story I was completely lifted by. I had to concentrate on sleep after staying up all night reading it, but it was well worth it.

Every time I read the book I saw something new, something that pertained directly to me. Thanks, Ilana.

    1. Thank you... I love that you found it lifting, that you continued to go back to read it.

Like you Tim, I never come away with the same thinking, a message, a lesson and something else for me to think about.

I loved that you loved it. I hope you'll pass that message on far and wide.
