Many think they know spirituality; they walk the walk, but don’t talk the talk when it comes to living the ‘spiritual’ life.

Spirituality like any other belief is a lifestyle and needs to continue to be practised. It is innate, it is in all of us, but when we’re tied into ‘earthly’ traits also, spirituality will always end up being secondary.

Understanding spirituality is important if our beliefs are to have a profound impact on our lives. We have to want to commit to our true-self, set out our intentions and focus on our inner being. Spirituality unconsciously influences our lives.

Spirituality helps us understand:

  • Our lives and how our lives fit into the cosmos;
  • Questions, like what is the cosmos?
  • Morality and how morality fits into spirituality;
  • The higher power and what that means;
  • How the universe works and how our lives fit into this higher power;
  • Our behaviour and how that impacts others and how we live our lives;
  • It also helps us understand how the higher power watches us and acts through karma.

Spirituality also helps us understand how the higher power interferes with our behaviour. It helps us to understand how to behave and what happens to us when we die.

It also helps us to understand that how we live, affects how we will fare and how we will pass over. The more spiritual we are, the easier our transition into spirit.

  1. Thank you for posting this. It is a reminder, that we must try harder to adopt spiritual beliefs while we still have a world to live a spiritual life in.

    Your blogs and books are wonderful beacons to guide us on a more spiritual path and having read your books, your books should be on everyone's Christmas present list.

    Moving forward, what better gift can we give than the gift of a more meaningful understanding?

    1. Thank you. Yes, I'm not a known author, just an author that loves to write that needed to understand her disability, and follows the 'the spiritual path.'

      I also know in Covid-19 how difficult our lives have been, in terms of coping with the virus and our mental health.

      There has and continues to be a lot of uncertainty still. As you say, my books are 'wonderful beacons to guide us on a more spiritual path.'

      I hope people will read my books, Cerebral Palsy: A Story 'Finding the Calm After the Storm' and 'Spirituality, Healing and Me.'

      If you're looking for an inspiring book that you can read head to cover, or dip in and out of that helps with mental and emotional health; a book that gives understanding and meaning to life, then these books are for you.

  2. Walking the spiritual path can be a very difficult one, I have learned the hard way. I have watched so many people who like to 'talk the talk' but don't 'walk the walk' when it comes down to spirituality.

    I have struggled, wondering whether or not the human race is worthy of being saved in times like this, but I'm thinking that I should at least try to walk the spiritual path.

    If I can even save one person in my life, it would have been worth it.

    1. Thanks Randy. Where you say, 'I have struggled, wondering whether or not the human race is worthy of being saved in times like this' -yes, but we have to want to save ourselves.

      The spiritual path is one I have walked for many years and it works. It can if you continue to follow it, give you a sense of freedom, peace and calm.

      Spirituality is a way of life, but needs to be embraced by more of us, for the world to benefit. The more earthly we are, the less spiritual we are.
