The world would look and feel different if we were happy for others. Not everyone is happy for themselves, therefore will not be happy for you. Then there is jealousy. A human trait and flaw, it is only when jealousy eats away at us... that jealousy comes out.

The Universe's Checkpoints

If you believe in the universe, you know there will be checkpoints along the way for us to work through. As we continue to live our lives, our thoughts and feelings can come under scrutiny, as the universe continues to watch our every move. Issues we’ve ignored or blamed others for, will resurrect at some point in our lives.

About our Motives

Our motives behind our decisions may also come under scrutiny. When it comes to friendships, we all have our own definitions of what constitutes a friend. We may determine how we see, or who becomes a friend. But friendship is a two-way street, it's give 'n' take. When it comes to success, each of us want to have success. Through hard work, sacrifice, dedication, drive and determination we can work to find success, but success may not always find us.

Not Everyone Is Happy for You

Not everyone takes kindly to others achieving success, particularly if they’re struggling themselves. There is no excuse, we should be happy for others because they have achieved success.

Our thoughts and good wishes should be unconditional, if you are to meet with success.

  1. Being happy for others can be hard when we are stuck, but we should all celebrate others success and ensure feelings like jealousy do not get in the way.

I am pretty sure that being genuinely happy for others will make us feel better too.

    1. Thanks. Yes being stuck is one of our biggest hurdles. But if like me you believe in the universe, you know the universe will always try to help.

I innately believed things would change and I would find out abut my disability. I didn't know how, I couldn't foresee that as a child, but that innate belief was always there. The universe knew.

The universe understands. No matter how hard it gets, it is important that we are 'genuinely' happy for others. When you have that disposition, things get easier and life works out more.

When life gets easier, you're more likely to meet with success. The universe will always want us to meet with success.

  2. One of the hardest things for me to do has been to be happy for others, seeing as I wasn't raised that way.

I was brainwashed into being very pretty and jealousy even when it wasn't in my nature, but that was how I was expected to behave by my mother. She wasn't ever happy so it seemed like she wanted everyone else to be as miserable as she was, which wasn't fair to anyone.

It has been extremely difficult for me too, seeing as I have seen so many bad things happen to such good people, whilst also seeing so many great things happen to the worst kind of people.

It has been quite the painful process trying to learn how to be happy for others. Life isn't always fair, but I am trying my best to work on it.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, I base my writing on universal values and this is why I write what I write.

As you say, it's not easy being happy for someone else when you're not raised to think happy thoughts. The reality is that no matter how you have been raised, life works out according to your earlier experiences.

Until we change our experiences and begin to pave out a different path for ourselves, we can expect little change. Although it takes time and it can be a painful process trying to learn how to be happy for others, allowing others to be happy, sets the tone for our own life positively.

We must be instrumental in how we want our lives to go. We shape and pave our path out, each time we make a choice.

    2. I am happy for anyone who is smiling, because there's always something else underneath and in between smiles these days.

But being happy for someone else is not enough, we have to be happy for ourselves too.

      1. Thanks Tim. Yes, that's absolutely right, being happy for someone else is not enough, we have to be happy for ourselves too.

Whilst that is absolutely correct, not being happy in ourselves can bring about a jealously in us that we never knew existed.

I believe it is important that as we continue to live our lives we also continue to work on our emotions and spiritual growth.

Where we are able to develop a higher awareness, or a higher consciousness of all things spiritual, we will always be happy for others.

The human condition is inevitably flawed. A higher consciousness is the one thing we fail to acknowledge or embrace.
