If something is happening, good or bad, it’s important to acknowledge and address it. You know your experiences, ignoring those can be detrimental to your health.

When we acknowledge our experiences we’re not completely in denial of the truth and that helps with the healing process.

If your issues are through abuse, eventually the abuse can make you ill. When you run from the truth, you run from yourselves, but life still exists outside of that and it is important to deal with your issues.

Our need to surrender, for the sake of our health should be far greater than our need to deny our problems, or waiting for an apology we didn’t get. Even without an apology, your sanity and health is more important.

It doesn’t take away the wrongdoing. The universe is aware of the facts, its job is to balance and check.

  1. Surrendering isn't something I'm very good at, since I grew up in a time where that wasn't a good thing and men had to keep fighting because that's what we were supposed to do.

No one ever explained that we're only human and that there are times when you have to surrender, which doesn't mean you're a failure.

For me it has been a toss-up between dealing with what I like to call the 'John Wayne syndrome' and being the 'rebel without a clue' when I didn't even know what I was fighting against.

This has made my life a living hell, seeing as most of the time I have tried to do what I think is the right thing and ignoring what is right for me.

Right at this point in my life, I need to surrender since this battle is a losing one where nobody wins. I'm trying to live with someone who does things without any rhyme or reason or even any common sense, which has made both of our lives very difficult when there isn't any need.

I just turned 50 and I don't want to continue living with issues that seriously affect my health and being with someone who really doesn't seem to care.

She seems to be terrific at ignoring the herd of elephants stampeding through our living room that isn't something I'm very good at, even though I was forced to as a child.

I have to surrender to the fact that she is very set in her ways and at 57 years old, the chances of her changing for the better are slim to none; so it's time for me to move on.

I just want to be able to live my life without feeling so guilty for even breathing at times, when I know I have the right to finally be happy.

    1. Thanks Randy. Where you say 'so it's time for me to move on,' yes, you're in the driving seat Randy.

You've answered and continue to answer yourself as you respond on my blogs. You know what you need to do. It's clear your circumstance won't change until you decide.

Now you just have to put what you know into practice and decide what you're going to do.
