How many of us will start to think about our less than perfect lives, when we look at other people’s lives? Looking at something so perfect often makes us rethink our own lives and what we have.
Fairy tales are usually made of these, but for many of us, our realities are very different. With the right support in place, it is possible to achieve our dreams. That when support works, it’s obvious it works.
Over the years I’ve had to work and rely on myself for support, but there isn’t a day go by, that I don’t continue to try to build on it, through my writing.
I'm happy where I'm at at the moment and have the love and support of many family members. I wasn't happy with my life, but I've worked on being happy with what I have and how my life works; even though I continue to work on it daily.
I think we all have to work on it if we want to be happy. It's not just going to happen. We work on our careers to get where we want to be in that respect, so wouldn't we have to work on every aspect of our lives to get where we want to be? I believe it's a daily work not just a 'work on once in a while' thing.
I understand Lisa. You are right that as we work at our career, we should also work on our personal relationships.
Watching the Royal Wedding on Friday showed us what happens when that kind of support from family is in place. Not all of us manage that in our lives. It was lovely to see. Thank you for posting.
I am just re-entering the working world after a 3 year gap, so it will be a new adventure for me. Exciting yet scary, but I have over 30 years experience in my chosen field. I know who will give me support and who will not. I count on certain people for support that I can trust.
As for William and Catherine. They appear to be very much in love and have been together for some years, so to a certain extent I think she knows what to expect. Unlike Diana who I thought was thrown to the wolves. But that is another story!

William and Catherine are very well educated and seem particularly grounded in their lives. I am sure those qualities will help both of them. They seemed very connected and as you said very much in love.
Couple that with family support, particularly coming from her family and I am sure they will both blossom in their roles and life together.
