So this is my first ever blog.

As a child, I didn't have any pre-meditated ideas about writing, in fact I had no clue as to what I would do, but finding out about my disability at the age of 46, prompted me to start writing. I wanted to know about myself, I wanted to know who I was, what I was dealing with and what my symptoms were.

I also wanted something that I could use as a tool, to help me work through my emotions and thoughts growing up with a condition (I say condition, because I didn't know it was a disability), whilst learning to cope living along side it.

I wanted to change a traumatic and negative life into something positive. I wanted to do something that would help me understand my experiences, and potentially for others to understand themselves.

  1. I think you have a great idea and a much needed asset for people like myself, 50 years living with cerebral palsy.

I hope that other people with cerebral palsy can come and support each other. Congratulations on a fantastic website.

    I'll be back soon.

    1. Thanks Mike. I look forward to seeing you back soon. I've never come across anyone with cerebral palsy before.

    1. Have finally read all of "My Story" and it truly moved me. Memories of my childhood are very similar to your own, ditto!

You're very courageous and I applaud you, well done. Mike.
