Yes, ultimately it comes down to being able to change myself, which is more important! It actually dawned on me just a couple of days ago that this fact has been the biggest problem in my life for a very long time.
Somehow I was hanging on to the fantasy of people magically changing their ways when it really very rarely happens in the real world.
I'm still in shock that it was something so simple yet profound that I don't know quite how to put it into words!
Thanks Tim. You're absolutely right, change should be something that happens naturally. From my own experiences, particularly with people who have been close to me, not everyone has the ability to work through change however painful holding on to something becomes.

A great saying from a great man. I was very privileged to see him speak at a concert about 15 years ago. It was a wonderful experience.
