Over the years, I have seen first-hand what happens when you fail to see or act on your mental health. Ignore your mental health and be prepared to deal with illness, and it may not just be a cough or a cold.
Mental Health issues and Illness
When you ignore mental health, you're looking at illness, which can cost you your health and in certain cases, your life. No one is free of illness or mental health issues.
I say it again, mental Health is the last thing we deal with, and the first thing to go. As a child, I struggled with anxiety and mental health issues, I didn’t know I had.
Around a disability I didn’t know I had, looking back, where I had anxiety, I had no idea that was a mental health issue. It is important to act on your mental health and wellbeing.
Anxiety isn't harmless
Not everyone will see anxiety as harmful, but when you’re continually living in fight and flight mode, when it’s something you continue to deal with, you’re never far away from any potential illness, or threat.
It is important to think about, to act and take control of how you feel, of your mental health. Don’t wait until it’s too late, and something happens to you. I have lost too many members of my family to cancer.
Not all illnesses are curable
Not all illnesses are curable, so please don’t ignore the warning signs!! Act on your mental health and continue to deal with how you mentally and emotionally feel.
