After 3 years of taking the necessary precautionary measures I didn’t go out to look for Covid, and it caught up with me. With two people in my household affected, and the other person affected worse off, the virus got passed on to extended family also, with two other people from their household also affected.

My Covid symptoms

My symptoms include a continual cough, loss of smell and taste, a constant headache, feeling prickly, aching muscles, swollen ankles and feet, and generally feeling ropey. For anyone who thinks Covid is gone, it's very much alive and kicking. It's here to stay and it continues to reinfect. Now is the time to take a reality check.

Getting chronically sick

Although Covid hasn't gone, it is clear it has become an inconvenience to many. But without using common sense, we are going to get chronically ill, again and again.

We should care

We should be caring enough to want to reduce Covid-19, and to mask-up, so that we and our loved ones can stay safe, so that we can stay protected. Although my symptoms aren't severe, they are bad enough, to know I can't afford to catch Covid again... can you?

  1. Yes, people seem to have the delusion that Covid has magically vanished, but obviously that is very far from the truth. Your symptoms sound very similar to what I dealt with this past summer and it was truly miserable.

We had someone move into the house who didn't take it seriously, so all of us had to suffer. He ended up with blood clots in his lungs and almost died but he still doesn't take any precautions which is truly sad.

I just don't understand people like this, but it's why the pandemic is so far from over. It's frustrating, especially since I still haven't fully recovered my sense of taste either.

    1. I agree Randy, but until attitudes change, more of us will fall foul of Covid.

Although Covid found me and I didn't find Covid, I am grateful I am not too bad with it. It is taking me too long to shake some of its symptoms.

The idea that I might catch the virus, left me paralysed for 3 years, because I live with a pre-condition called cerebral palsy and I am high risk.
