I definitely don't think I'm above everybody else, more like the opposite. Always doing everything for everyone else, I pretty much thought I was lower than everyone else, which is what I'm battling now.
I'm having to do what I need to do for myself now, so I don't have time to worry about what I think of myself or what others may think of me.
I just want to feel like I'm a part of the human race for the first time in my life!
I think he may have been talking about a person with a personal assistant, or a secretary that does all the running around for a boss.
They run to get them lunch, or go to the cleaners. Just because you have an employee that does all the dirty work for you doesn't mean that you're better than them.
I'm sure that having that type of power to command someone else's actions would lead that person to think they're above that person. It means you have the cash to pay that person to run your errands. The day we start thinking we are above that person, is the day we need a reality check and to ground ourselves more.
No one is above an employee or spouse. It's a blessing to have the means to delegate small chores to someone else. Having been a secretary myself I can see Kevin's point, those who do the small things are a valuable asset.
Thanks Maria. Yes, as you say, having the cash to pay someone to do errands just means you have cash.
We're all the same (or should be the same) with or without money. No one is better or worse than someone else. It's always nice to be able to do or give something back.
For example, if a secretary has deadlines to meet, it would be nice for her 'boss' to offer to make her a cup of tea.
I enjoy doing the small things. They can matter just as much as a big thing and are still important.
I used to make tea for my secretary and she couldn't quite understand this as non-one had ever made tea for her before. We are equal, so why wouldn't I?
Thanks. Good for you. Yes, perfect scenario, how nice of you. I agree we are all equal. Underneath we are, but we must begin to think like that if we are to save humanity.

Thanks. Yes, you are Randy. I used to think it mattered what people thought.
We grow up thinking it's important, it's more or less instilled in us, but what is important is that we're all the same.
No one is better than the other. Perhaps if more of us thought like that, we'd all be in a much better place and with each other.

The day you start doing the small things is the day you tip the scales to your advantage.
Unfortunately, some folks have a need to be above that.
Agreed. Thanks Tim. Yes, we will always continue to tip the scales to our own advantage when we continue to do the small things.
The Universe will notice and will always take notes.
