This is a lovely quote. A greater understanding of the natural world will bring about a much needed greater respect for it.
Humanity and nature are not separate and we must see them as one, to fix the crisis we have created. Then and only then might we be entitled to enjoy the fulfilment it brings.
Yes, humanity and nature are not separate, and we must all work to fix the crisis we have created.
It's our problem, and it's time to put it right before we lose more animals to 'extinction.' I feel both sad and irritated we're here, but also live with hope and believe humanity can pull this back.
David Attenborough is doing his best. With years of independent scientific evidence we need to start 'giving back' before it's too late for the natural world and for the human species.
We're all part of the same eco-system, it's not just about losing animals, the natural world is also part of that through global warming. We're seeing bush fires in Australia and California. All down to the way we live.
I am just wondering how much more evidence we need.

To understand the natural world is to know the depth of it.
But we seem to have abandoned the fact that the natural world is precious. I think we're paying the price for that now.
Thanks Tim. Yes, you're right and we are paying the price, there is no doubt in my mind.
But there is still time for us to pull back and start 'giving back' before we lose more of the natural world.
