Something inspirational:

"It is an odd paradox that a society, which can now speak openly and unabashedly about topics that were once unspeakable, still remains largely silent when it comes to mental illness."

  1. This is very true. We see and read about stuff that would have been strictly 'taboo' only a couple of generations ago and yet our mental health for the most part is only beginning to be openly talked about. Thank you for what you do with your blog. You are making a difference.

This is quite unbelievable and heartbreaking when we all know people we have/are struggling with their mental health and when talking about it and sharing experiences are so important to all our wellbeing, particularly in Covid-19.

Non-one should feel they must suffer in silence.

    1. Thanks. Yes, 'no one should feel they must suffer in silence.' Mental health is a difficult one because often that is exactly how people deal with how they feel; they don't and will often struggle in silence.

Although my grandmother didn't deal with mental health issues, I remember her feeling a burden just for asking a favour from my mum. Mental health is where the heart of our issues lie.

If society as a whole came in with a different thinking, how much better our lives would be and how much better the world would be. We're too quick to assume, without really knowing and will often assume wrongly.
