  1. I think I'd rather keep the best of myself a secret, or let it leak out gradually until I know it will be received properly.

    Imagine my shock when I give the best of myself and no one really appreciates it.

    1. Thanks Tim. Yes, for those of us who do our best, it sadly comes at a cost when others don't appreciate our best. Sadly, those are my experiences.

      But then I come through, by telling myself that where those others don't appreciate my best, they've already made this about themselves and that gets me off the hook.

      We don't have to convince or try to prove to anyone else what our best is. I think that's important.
