I don't know a whole lot about 'real intimacy' seeing I was forced to be an open book, whether I wanted to or not.
It was a nightmare that I wasn't able to escape, for the longest time and by the time I did, it was definitely far too late. I haven't been able to get that close to many people because of it and the few that I have allowed in, have used and abused me in the worst possible ways.
Now at my age, I have to learn proper boundaries so that I can get on with my life, without being taken advantage like always used to happen.
Thanks Randy. Yes, real intimacy comes through the soul, long before we meet through a union. That part of this isn't always easy to comprehend.
But the most important is the soul union which incorporates emotional intimacy. Because without that we will have very little to base our relationship on.
Given your experiences and there is no excuse for that, we still must be more in sync with each other and to put our differences aside.
We can't change the past and what happens to us, but we can change how we move on from here.
