Thank you. Words still matter of course, particularly if the words we speak are less than gracious and we set out to hurt, but our deeds or actions tell an altogether different story.
When we put ourselves out to help others, we show a different side to ourselves. We go the extra mile. Words itself can't do that.
I believe that what you have is a gift Tim. It's not always easy to read a person's body language unless you know intuitively what the signs mean. Deeds go before us, but would need to be gracious for us to benefit.
As you say Deeds become personal statements. It's therefore up to us to make sure they count.
Yes, people like to talk the talk, but the only thing that really matters is when they are willing to walk the walk!
You have to be willing to do the work you need to do to get the job done, since talking about it doesn't accomplish much of anything. Usually you don't have to look very far to see examples of this everywhere out in the world.
I get to see it every day in my recovery program where people choose to do what it is they want to do, rather than what they need to do.
I also know that I can't judge those people since I have been doing the same thing for most of my life, always choosing to take the easier path.
I have decisions to make and work to do now that I really don't want to do but I don't have much of a choice, if I want to have a much saner life, than I have had for the past 10 years.
Thanks Randy. Yes, changing emotional patterns isn't easy, even if we know we have to. This is why I believe affirmations help us, because they help change unconscious thinking to fit in with our conscious thinking.
It's important we put the time and effort in, but we have to want to change to make any change, which is why the quote is so right; unless do what we think, know or what we believe it will be of little consequence.
There is a saying, 'when deeds speak, words are nothing' and I agree, we are judged by our actions, not our words.

I can tell by a person's gaze or body language what they're up to; I have keen senses for that, perhaps my blessing in disguise.
But when one's thoughts are set free by actual deeds, it's a permanent statement that's hard to erase.

We have to just do, not think about just doing.
