Something inspirational:

“The human mind isn't a terribly logical or consistent place. Most people, given the choice to face a hideous or terrifying truth or to conveniently avoid it, choose the convenience and peace of normality. That doesn't make them strong or weak people, or good or bad people. It just makes them people.”

  1. I agree. People will deal with things differently to us and just because they do, doesn't mean they are weird or weak.

It's just how we learn to deal with things.

    1. I agree, we do all learn to deal with things differently and that's fine most of the time.

Living with denial can be harmful if the issue we're ignoring has a knock on effect on our health or future.

  2. I think I've spent the majority of my life in denial, so all of a sudden it's like I've come out of a coma at 44 years old, without a clue as to what's really going on!

I'm hoping and praying that I can anchor myself in the present long enough to get myself together, so I can finally start living my life.

It would be a great and wonderful thing!

    1. I hope you will too Randy. A little dutch courage and just think of all the possibilities you'll have to live your life, your way.
