Something inspirational:

“If you want to forget something or someone, never hate it, or never hate him/her. Everything and everyone that you hate is engraved upon your heart; if you want to let go of something, if you want to forget, you cannot hate.”

  1. Hate has been one of the few things that has kept me going over the years, but it has also been one of my biggest issues seeing as it corrodes the very fabric of the soul over time.

It's difficult to be able to love anything or anyone when your heart is filled with hate. Most of all I have hated myself for the many mistakes I have made, which I know can't be changed and doesn't make me feel any better.

I have been experiencing a great deal of hatred towards myself, for what I consider to be doing the right thing, which makes me want to respond the same way, but I'm choosing to be the better person.

I am actually trying to get rid of all the hatred in my heart, so that I can finally move on with my own life, no matter what other people end up doing to try to force me to hate them.

    1. You've probably noticed Randy that when others fail to cope with their own lives, their issues become ours. It's not that they set out to force you to hate them, they're already doing it to themselves.

What your parents did and how they parented you is how we/you see yourself. I get that, but perhaps now is the time to try to be more gentle on yourself.

You're a good guy Randy, clearly struggling to come to terms with your life and how things turned out for you. But you're right hatred in our heart means we'll never learn to love and live with ourselves and that's sad.

We cannot turn the clock back on our lives of course, but I still believe we do have the opportunity to change how we do things from here.

  2. I'm trying my best not to lie, so I won't. I hate evil people, there's no other way to articulate that fact.

But I may, one day soon, find myself free of such hate. Until that time, my sin is not kept secret.

    1. It's easy to understand why you would hate evil people. Evil people will probably hate themselves for being the way they are.

But people aren't born evil. It's usually circumstances, or a pre-disposition to something that changes how they see the world and themselves and that changes their behaviour.

We are innately good, but often our souls have lost their way. Perhaps it's more that you hate what evil represents and what it does. But without understanding of others and their lives, it is easy for us to hate.

With understanding we live in hope that those who do evil will at some point, see the light and change their ways.

  3. Hate fills a void and from my own experiences I fully understand why people feel hate.

It's a natural reaction to a terrible situation, but I also understand it doesn't help. It just eats you up and reinforces how you feel.

    1. Thanks, yes I understand also but it doesn't help as you rightly say, because it eats us up inside and reinforces how we feel about them and how we feel about us, hating them.

I am lucky that my spiritual beliefs allow me see past 'hate.' There is always a bigger picture. I believe it's important we begin to see more of why people do things rather than assume, why they do it.

We must come to understand 'the bigger picture' of people's lives, instead of live with hate.
