Yes, coming from a dysfunctional family seems to be the norm nowadays now that people are actually admitting to it.
The only movie that has come close to my childhood was the movie Glass Castle with Woody Harrelson. I have actually been talking to my brother quite a bit lately and he can attest to the fact of how insane it was because he was there too.
We all experience conflict and chaos in families. That has become normalised.
We need to see the issues around a person's toxic behaviour, which they need to address, rather than relating the cycle ourselves, because then our behaviour becomes toxic.

Thanks Randy. Yes, it's more common than we think. But I still think we can pull some of it back, by standing back and thinking about things.
We tend to lead through our unconscious thoughts instead of consciously thinking about things, how we can make our lives and our relationships better.
