  1. Boy, wouldn't that be great? Until recently, I never fully acknowledged the fact that I missed out on so much as a child. I didn't have a chance to enjoy being a kid.

My mother struggled with her mental health and as a result, expected me to take care of her which fully explains why I've had such an issue of being a caretaker. I was brainwashed into thinking it was normal, but I finally understand that it wasn't.

My inner child has been itching to get out. I think it's finally time to let him out to play; to be the kid he didn't manage to be!

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes you did and I am sorry you didn't get that. It's never too late to readjust the sails on our childhood, so that we're able to see the negative experiences as positive while acknowledging our experiences.

My experiences weren't positive but I am choosing to take the lessons from those experiences and that makes them positive.

I think that's why the diary is good. We can either fill our cup up and see the good and the lesson we can take from it, or we can continue to see the negative and change very little.

It's important to stand back to look at our negative childhood experiences, and choose to see those as positive, so that we can move on with our lives.

It's not that the issue was positive, but you can either fill your cup up and see the good and the lesson you can take from it, or you can continue to see the negative and change very little.
