  1. I agree it is a shame but it seems that this is always the case. I remember once reading that tragedy should be used as a source of strength.

    It's a shame we can't avoid the tragedy and learn anyway, but that's not what history has taught us.

    1. Thanks. I agree with you. The universe teaches us what we need to know. It's a human failing. History is here to teach us.

      Tragedy is also here to teach us what we need to know, but instead we choose not to learn.

  2. It seems that something awful has established the rules in our society, it has us under some insidious spell. People are just struggling under the strain, I think.

    But good people do shine, we're just not looking.

    1. Thanks Tim. Yes, good people do shine and they always will. But others are so wrapped up in themselves, they're not looking at those others.

      Ego plays a big part in our lives and this is what you're seeing in government particularly and in society.

      Now that's a whole different ballgame, not one that will work for any of us, while they're prisoners to their egotistical selves and they're in charge.
