She holds diplomas in Counselling, Diet and Nutrition, Nutritional Therapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling, and Stress Management. Through her writing, Ilana supports others in navigating their emotional, mental, and physical health challenges.

Thanks. Yes, sadly through having been controlled, I have been the recipient of being 'spoon fed' but in my defence, I gave a lot of that back.
I understand your sentiment, but depending on our circumstances, life doesn't always pan out in a way that helps us move on from being spoon fed.
You got to make your own decisions and although that's not ideal either because you had no boundaries at all, being spoon fed is worse, because you end up living someone else's life.
I think as my case proves, yes whilst we may start out that way, we don't have to continue to live our lives like that. We must do everything we can to make our life, our own.
