She holds diplomas in Counselling, Diet and Nutrition, Nutritional Therapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling, and Stress Management. Through her writing, Ilana supports others in navigating their emotional, mental, and physical health challenges.

It has been like this since men figured out how to build the atomic bomb, which could wipe out all life on the planet, instead of just our enemies. It is a miracle that we haven't done so yet. All it would take is one to light the fire that would scorch the Earth bare.
I was thinking about what our future could look like when I was watching a movie in which people were more concerned about playing an online game instead of dealing with what the real world had become.
We could end up with mindless zombies who are so 'plugged in' that they don't know the difference between that world and ours. This is why I don't like playing those games, seeing as there are too many trolls who think they are the most badass game players, but would cower in fear if they had to face anyone out in this world.
You would think someone like me would get hooked on those kind of games, but I don't have the luxury of living in a fantasy world like so many others.

At the moment they're more misguided than they're not. All you and I can do is live our lives the best we can in the hope that others work towards what's best for all of us, even they're not doing it now.
I'm all for others making mistakes, but there are mistakes and mistakes. Little mistakes that don't cost people their lives or any great hardships are fine, those mistakes don't change the status quo.
But where mistakes are being made and where lives hang in the balance and hardships are created, decisions must be readdressed.
It is clear governments aren't getting things right.
This is profoundly true today. Irresponsibly we are way behind our technological 'achievements.' Half the world are dying of disease and starvation.
We are on the brink of catastrophically destroying the planet and if we somehow manage to avoid environmental armageddon, we have other means to destroy our own planet many times over.
There is no spiritual path. The human species can have spiritual tendencies, but instead choose self-absorbed, arrogant, self-righteous and uncaring. Not necessarily in any order.
But these are the reasons why we are on the bring of catastrophe as you articulately point out and in many areas.
Martin Luther King died in 1968. This is how far back his quote goes and is something he had the foresight to see. We all must do better.
The UN climate conference that has just taken place in Poland is a start, but other countries not included need to do their bit also.
We cannot afford to think this won't happen to us, because it is very much happening to us.
