  1. It has been a long time since I've known myself, but it has been nice working on it in the past couple of years.

I am finally figuring out what it is that I want, rather than always being so focused on making sure that everyone else gets what they want first.

This was why I lost out on so many great opportunities in my life, which I will always regret. One thing that I do know is that I am a decent human being, despite what many other people seem to think!

    1. Thanks Randy. We all have our regrets Randy, try not to be so hard on yourself. From what you've said through your responses, what you have lived, was never about you.

We live what we know, what we've seen, what's been passed down and unless we change what we've seen, our families will also live what we've known. Just as wisdom starts with each of us, so does change.

We can certainly change what we know, it's never too late for us to work on ourselves, so that we change certain elements of our life.

  2. When you know who you are, you also know what want you want to do, instead of looking for approval or consent from others to do what you already know you ought to do.

The problem is, many of us spend so much time getting to know ourselves, that we leave little time to spend doing what we want to do.

    1. Yes, we may spend a lifetime looking for approval and consent without thinking about what we want for ourselves.

I think there is a balance to be had. We can think about ourselves and what we want for ourselves and still think about and help others.
