It stands to reason that relationships work better when they’re based on people being open and transparent. It means they’re more likely to talk about the things that matter to them and those they share their lives with.
When people work in open and transparent ways, it means they’re open to new thoughts and ideas, it also means they’re open to finding new ways for their ideas to work; open to new people; open and willing to listen to others without passing judgment on what they’re told and open to communication.
Being open and transparent means we’re more likely to want to engage people without drawing them into debate. Being open invites others into our conversations. When we’re open, we’re not afraid to say what we feel and are happy to consider other people’s thoughts and opinions too.
Being open allows us to speak our truth. Being open also allows us to be ourselves, without pretending to others that we’re someone we’re not. Being open and transparent brings about peace.
Being open and transparent also allows us to work in a way that naturally enables others to see what we’re doing. We’re also more likely to then discuss what we’re doing with others, also happy to let others know that we have nothing to hide.
Being transparent allows others to see how we are as a person. With transparency, there is no façade and no thrills, no airs and graces, what you see is what you get, and you won't be afraid to show it.
It’s a state of mind, a lifestyle choice that incorporates general behaviour and how we choose to behave, more than if we used any specific tool.
