When we are book versed, we’re more likely to judge others on what they choose to do with the information we give them. When we’re insightful, or we use our intuition to source information, we’re more likely to pass that information on as being ‘true' and will allow others to choose.

Intuition facts

Intuition is less about regurgitating the facts, and more about instinctive understanding, feeling our way around things. When we instinctively think about something, we discard the information we don't need.

When we read from a book or take information from the internet, those are not our facts, and what we're reading may not be the universal truth. Intuition is a hunch, based on the universal truths, it is instinctive, which means for it to work we must trust it and go with it.

Connecting with the universe

When we instinctively or intuitively think about something, we're tapping into the universe. We may learn facts and figures from a textbook, but when we base our thoughts on our ‘gut instinct’ we just know, and we don’t have to search for the facts.

Albert Einstein quote

Albert Einstein once quoted, “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, and the rational mind is a faithful servant.’ Over the years we have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the 'gift.'

Gut smart

Smart people will choose to listen to their gut and use those feelings to navigate their world. Those people will continue to nurture and harness their intuition and in doing so will make leaps forward.

  1. One of my favorite expressions just happens to be 'book smart and brain dead.' There are so many people who think they are smart from book learning, but they have absolutely zero actual life skills.

A prime example is the Big Bang Theory show which makes fun of it, but in the real world, people like this will be the first to go in a zombie apocalypse! People also seem to think that it is extremely far fetched, but after this pandemic situation, it may be more possible than people want to believe.

The biggest mistake I have made in my life, has been to ignore my instincts and intuition which has always ended badly. I'm very well aware that I was brainwashed as a child, to totally ignore what was really happening, but there were so many times I couldn't seem to help myself.

Every day I think about how differently things could have been and it makes me very sad. My daughter has been the one who has suffered the most because of my mistakes, and I still don't know how to get through to her.

It's definitely time for me to put my intuition to good use and make the best out of my life.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, I've got the same tee-shirt. You're right, book smart doesn't make us worldly.

Please don't be too hard on yourself. I think you already know that even if you had been able to work from your intuition early on, you would have had to have had a different life and different parents who encouraged you to have the poetic licence for you to live your life, your way.

It is always sad when children fall pray to the lives their parents have had to live. And whilst we don't go to school to learn how to parent, children are resilient and often do bounce back.

What's important is that where parents make mistakes they are honest with their children and 'come clean,' so that they can begin to form better and more stable relationships with their children.

Children know and hear, what goes on in their childhood. There is always time for parents to put that right, but those conversations must take place. Honesty is important.

It's a shame your parents didn't change that for you before they passed. Both in spirit now, they are now 7 times more spiritual now and will know.
