Writing can be challenging for me because everyone sees the world differently. However, when it comes to my writing, my personal blog, my blogs are rooted in facts and universal truths. If it's out there, I write about it. It's everything to do with mental health.

Where the natural world and our lives are at risk, it is important to sit up and listen. The harsh realities the world is facing, are being covered by Sir David Attenborough, an English Broadcaster, Biologist, and historian. Those are the facts and and time is running out. We should all act.

Caretakers of the Planet

We are all caretakers of the planet. We are not thinking about how living our lives is taking its toll on the planet. Time is running out to make a difference for the planet and a difference in the world.

The pandemic

The pandemic is showing just how vulnerable we and the world are. We are now at a crossroad, and we ultimately are responsible for how we move forward in our lives. Flaws that we weren’t seeing before have become all too evident in the pandemic. It is because we are caretakers for the planet that we should be doing things that keep us and the earth healthy.

The earth has everything we need to live successful lives, but we also need to take care of it, so it can continue to give us what we need. There are plenty of ways to make good choices, choices that help OUR planet.

Eco-friendly choices

Eco-friendly choices are important for us, and for future generations not yet born. When you conserve the Earth’s natural resources like water, you’re paving the way for future generations to benefit. I talk specifically about 'climate change' in previous blogs, but we need to lap it up diligently, if the human species are going to save the planet and survive.

The air around us is warming up because of C02. It’s a gas that comes from the cars we drive, the holidays we take through travel either by train, car, or airplanes and also power stations. Caring for the environment isn’t difficult, we just have to want to care, so that future generations can also live their lives.

We need to care

We need to care. We need to care for animals through conservation and care for the environment. We need to go green so we’re caring for the environment, the forests. As deforestation is happening, animals you and I once grew up with, our losing their habits and as a result are losing their lives.

It is our job. It is something we all need to do diligently and urgently, because time is of the essence. It is time to take stock, it is time as a human race to save the natural world, to save ourselves, to become selfless.

Conclusion

We can do something to better ourselves, to live better lives, or we can live in ignorance of the facts and get caught out. The irony is that since the pandemic, we're not living in the true sense. We're having to be more mindful of our lifestyles so that we don't catch Omicron, or Delta.

But the pressing issues are the ones we're ignoring. In the UK we have had 5 days of storms and yes the wider world is also being affected by landslides and that means loss of life, loss of human habitats too.

Our children's children, will also meet with problems, worse case scenario, they may not have a life to live. We are responsible and accountable and need to start being responsible. We're running out of time.

Everything Sir David Attenborough has done and continues to do will have been for nothing and the legacy he leaves behind, will be one of total destruction and devastation if we don't act now. It is on all of us.

It is not only our children who are relying on us to give their children the quality of life we have enjoyed, but the natural world. We are destroying their habitats through the way we live our lives.  It's time to give back.

  1. Thank you for writing this blog. As you say facts are facts. We are all caretakers of the planet. The problem is we are not all responsible caretakers.

The scale of the challenges facing our planet are massive, but they are of our own making, because individually we all contribute. We can all do something. Through governments, there needs to be a global accord on tackling climate change, environmental disaster, poverty and discrimination we will continue to slide towards the point of no return.

After all we are too busy killing each other to care about future generations.

    1. Thanks, yes we need to want to change our perceptions, and need to want to change for future generations, so they can have a life.

Whilst governments are instrumental and can make the biggest and fastest change, individually we need to do our bit. We both agree, climate change, environmental disasters and discrimination will continue to slide towards the point of no return, unless the world pulls back.

Through 12 years of writing I have seen many changes. People have changed and not for the better. The irony is I haven't changed, my thoughts have been consistent, I am consistent. I am merely the 'universe's messenger' and its message couldn't be more stark or clear.

It is time to change. Sir David Attenborough's words on climate change couldn't be more devastating and clear. What's it going to take?
