Ilana Estelle is a mental health and wellbeing advocate who combines educational insight with her personal experience of living with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities.
She holds diplomas in Counselling, Diet and Nutrition, Nutritional Therapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling, and Stress Management. Through her writing, Ilana supports others in navigating their emotional, mental, and physical health challenges.
In addition to writing for The CP Diary, her work has appeared in healthy lifestyle magazines.

Many of life's lessons are learnt the hard way through difficult choices and tough decisions and I agree the way things turn out are often for the better.
As 'your story' shows how we get to a situation, often through no fault of our own, often turns out to be the right outcome for us, irrespective of all bumpy roads we may have to encounter along the way.
It doesn't take away other people's responsibilities, but it does provide us with an explanation. You should be proud.
Thanks. Although I agree with this quote, and I am finally where I should be, sadly it's taken 57 years get to know my disability, to get to know me. It's bitter sweet and over the years has come at an emotional cost.
It is good for me to have understanding for the first time, but it is accompanied by regret and suffering; regret because of how I got to this place, and suffering because it's taken too long for me to work it all out.
My experiences aren't something you easily forget.
