When it comes to problems, I need to think about and deal with those as they arise. But it is because I deal with autism that I struggle to work through.
Dealing with issues in Covid-19
It is because I deal with autism that problems around the virus are presenting. But it's not just me. The less we are able to resolve a problem, the bigger the problem gets, the more we can mentally struggle, the more anxiety we may deal with, the more panicked we feel.
Being able to take away stress helps me deal with my mental and emotional issues, with a little more ease. It helps me to focus on staying positive, so that I can feel more comfortable living through a pandemic.
Writing about Covid-19
I write about Covid-19 on my blog, because I would struggle to function otherwise. I am struggling to live comfortably around the decisions being taken by the UK Government. When I talk about the pandemic on my blog, things feel easier.
In the last couple of years, where external decisions have been made that have little to do with common sense and keeping us safe, there may be struggle. I have and continue to prove to myself that I can keep myself safe in the pandemic. Our old life has gone and that can be our struggle. For the most part I am home, I see no one, and I mask up to go for walks.
Lifting Covid-19 Precautionary Measures
Dr Hilary Jones, resident physician of Good Morning Britain ("GMB") says: "we will have to learn to live and die with Covid-19." He has also said talks of ending all restrictions "makes no sense." (Source: mirror.co.uk)
So, now all precautionary measures in the UK have been lifted, I have had to ask that others I am in contact with outside of my home, continue to keep me safe. For all of us, our old life is gone, for the vulnerable and high risk, now potentially replaced with a solitary life.
Whilst the country has opened up and people are living their lives, right now I am being given no choice, but to walk a solitary path, which means I am mostly confined to my home. Hoping for a miracle at this point.
Yes, we definitely need a miracle. The reality is that we all need to work together to end this pandemic, but sadly I don't see it happening anytime soon.
People want to act like the virus is just magically going away, but the science shows that also isn't happening. We can't afford to be in denial about this.
We still have those who refuse to get the vaccine. My dream is to one day to be able to get out in the world to meet amazing people like you.
We can only hope and pray.
Thanks Randy. I appreciate the shout out. Yes, it would be cool to meet one day, but as you say we have a long way to go!
You make a good point. The science is telling us Covid-19 isn't magically go away, therefore we all need to do more to lessen it and its effects. I agree we have to be able to live along side it, but we are all instrumental in that.
Whilst we are being told we can live our lives, governments should be instructing us more on how we can safely do that. I once read that people would be more inclined to follow rules if governments insisted, but those rules need to be enforced for the greater good.
The UK government are turning their backs on dealing with the virus by lifting restrictions. For people who live with anxiety already, it'll be difficult to hear, but in any event, we will end up back at square one.
More people including children going back into school, will fall foul to the virus and people's freedom will be short lived.
The science isn't wrong.
