Emotional freedom is 'being free' from being controlled by our emotions and feeling like a victim. You can have it, we can all have it, but not all of us will.
Writing gives us emotional freedom
My writing gives me the emotional freedom to choose how I think and feel about my experiences, about what I have had to deal with. Emotional freedom allows me, allows us, to change the way we see a situation, or experiences.
The experiences don't change
Experiences once experienced can't change, but we all have the emotional freedom to choose how we see those experiences. It is also the same around neglect, trauma and abuse.
Using emotional freedom to change how you see things
By using emotional freedom to change how you see your experiences, you choose emotional intelligence, self-care and self-love. You're giving back to YOU. Those are powerful traits from which to start your own healing journey.
Learn to manage your feelings
It is important to learn and manage your feelings, so you don't become reactive, and so your feelings don’t control you. When you take responsibility and learn to accept and change how you feel about what has happened, you have the emotional freedom to choose to change your life, but it is also important to take control and change how you feel.
Allow yourself to release what you feel
When you learn to embrace your core feelings with kindness, allowing yourself to release painful feelings, to reflect, to learn about what your feelings may be telling you, about events and others you, you have emotional freedom.

I noticed my emotional strength change when I had a family and as I have got older, but I plug myself in here daily, for a recharge and now feel ready to tackle anything!
Thank you. Yes, glad you do and glad you are. For me, with autism that challenge is a little more difficult.
Life changes us. Children change us, experiences rattle us. I hope others will also choose to plug themselves in here 'daily' for a recharge.
