We all have good intentions and countless resolutions we want to make, when it comes to the New Year. The hard part is sticking to them.
I work on being better during the year, so when it comes to the New Year, I’ve already changed what I need. We start with good intentions, but it’s our perceptions on how we change and adapt that let us down.
It is important to work on our perceptions, so we can learn how to change what we want. That way any resolutions we decide to make, we'll make without breaking them, even before we get to first base.
I usually don't make resolutions because I know I won't keep them, but this year I'm going to work on being better to myself and others and excepting things as they come.
Acceptance is a big deal to me. Sometimes I can't. I expect more or better and I'm going to work on being a better mother, wife and being more positive.
I'm routing for you. I hope you manage to achieve everything you set out to.
The only thing I am going to do in 2013 is go back to work part time for part of the year. (from February until April 30th.)
It is by choice and to help build up my self esteem which at this point is very badly needed. It took a beating during the holidays, but on to 2013 bigger and better things.
I can definitely resonate with you.
I hope that what you intend to do in 2013 works out for you. It will do you good to do something for yourself which will in the longer-term contribute to better self-esteem.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
