"I have always looked at things positively to see how I can feel better about what I deal with and what I need to overcome. Thankfully, 8 months in and I am now feeling a little more comfortable about the pandemic.

In the early months I struggled to get to grips with it. It scared me so much that I couldn’t sleep or eat, luckily I had my blog to focus on. I chose to write about how I felt about the pandemic.

Months in, and we need to continue to change how we see, function and behave and to make a conscious decision – to change how we deal with the situation. At least now when I think about the pandemic, I don’t panic.

But no matter our lifestyles, we should work with the virus for the greater good if we are to reduce it and its impact. Just because we can’t see it, doesn’t mean it doesn't exist, or that it’s a hoax.

In the meantime, since it is a pandemic and the world is affected, all governments must work together, to make decisions that will lessen its impact, so that we get to live our lives, not just exist in our lives."

  1. Living in the pandemic reminds me of the fear, doubt and insecurity I had to deal with as a child.

If it's not something you're used to, I understand it would be easy to feel freaked. All we can do is work to support one another.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, no matter our childhood I don't think any of us could be prepared for this.

In effect the world is sick and it's up to all of us to try to make it better. Where our lifestyles are responsible we need to claw it back so we take into account what the natural world is asking of us.

I will never stop writing about the things that affect and matter to us. I do think individually we must do our bit, but governments must do their bit and put policies in place that serve to protect us and the natural world.

Although we cannot reverse the damage done, we can limit more damage. Sowing a seed for change, one blog at a time.

  2. I appreciate The CP Diary, because it gives us hope, information and a friendly hand in this moment.

Amid this crisis, it's refreshing to read these words.

    1. Thanks Tim. I appreciate the sentiment. Being able to think about and put down what I know is the truth, helps me bring closure.

Dealing with autism in the pandemic isn't easy. In the early months, I was mentally stuck. My writing brings understanding where I have none.

Where I have understanding, I may bring closure. In an already confusing world because I deal with autism, my words bring clarity, they give me hope for another day. I wouldn't want to be without it now.

  3. I felt the same way when it first started to get worse. Thankfully for me, I also had my blog to help write down my thoughts and feelings and to let others know that they were not alone.

Thank you for writing this post. I feel that people should see and read this.

    1. Thanks Mason. I hope you're feeling better now. With any disability it takes time for us to adjust.

The pandemic is like no other, but for us it's worse, because we cannot rationale like everyone can. It took me about 7 months to adjust.

I am pleased you had your blog to help you write about how you felt.
