Writing about politics, though challenging and often discomforting, serves as a powerful tool for shedding light on complex issues. This process dispels the shadows of ignorance, encouraging a deeper comprehension of our lives and society as a whole.

Politics and Mental Health

By engaging in politics on my blog, I contribute positively to mental health by providing clarity and understanding on specific political issues. Writing or reading about politics, means promoting intellectual growth and fostering a sense of empowerment. The former is why I continue to write about politics. It keeps me informed. Being forewarned is forearmed and being forewarned means you can make better choices. Whatever happens or doesn't happen in politics, whatever decisions are taken or ignored when it comes to politics, mental health inevitably is always affected.

Writing about politics has a calming effect

For many though, I understand the media, discussing or engaging with politics can be a source of stress and anxiety. I make writing about it more palatable. Writing about politics in the way I do brings clarity, it can make us more informed and that makes us less stressed.

Writing helps with Clarity

Reading can be a great way to process difficult emotions and gain clarity on complex issues. Writing gives me a sense of control over my emotions and the world around me, which can give clarity when I'm faced with issues – around politics that can feel overwhelming.
