My Journey to Self-Acceptance

I spent my childhood in quiet reflection, waiting in the wings, trying to work out how I could live authentically and connect with my true self. When your life is shaped by other people's rules, you disconnect from yourself – from your true self, without always realising.

Saying “Yes” for Acceptance

I was a people-pleaser. I found myself saying yes, because I didn’t want to disappoint, and was searching for acceptance, around something I didn't know I had. What I really needed was to say no – and to connect with myself. Along the way I lost pieces of who I was.

The Turning Point: Discovering Spirituality

Everything shifted when I discovered spirituality. It felt like being handed a mirror – a reflection of who I truly was. Through it, I live with truth and integrity, to simplify, to care for myself, to live better, and most importantly, to let go.Writing brings me back to myself, a realisation that has changed everything.

'I'm lying in 'truth'. Writing is how I free myself – it's how I sit in what's real. But I don't just write for me. Everything you read on the blog, is rooted in the universal coding: truth itself. The world needs to sit with more of that truth. It's survival for society.

Choosing Myself Over Expectations

So, I began the work. I turned my focus to myself to my mental health. I looked at the old patterns and started to make different decisions. Decisions that put me first.

Each choice became a way of choosing myself over others’ expectations.

The Lesson: You’re Allowed to Choose You

And in that space – in the discomfort – I learned the most important lesson of all:

You are allowed to take back control of your life.
You are allowed to choose yourself.

Self-acceptance isn’t being selfish or ignoring others' needs. It’s about soul-love: grounding yourself in self-love and nurturing yourself with self-care.

And that’s where each of our journey should begin and where each of our lives would be better for truth, honesty, resilience, and living authentically.
