This can impact our mental health. Convincing ourselves to accept mental health doesn't help unless we want to accept mental health. We should all be thinking about and dealing with our mental health.

Our reluctance to deal with mental health is staggering.

Recent Mental Health stats

Given the recent stats that 1 in 2 people will get cancer, (it used to be 1 in 3) something needs to change. (Source: https://www.sciencedaily.com). It is about using your common sense on mental health, whether you want to become another statistic, or whether you choose to deal with your mental health.

Cancer hits

We think we have time; we think illness won’t happen, we think cancer won't get us, but it does. No one is safe from the disease Mental Health is something we need to continue to work on.

'Enough is Enough'

We should want to change our perceptions and deal with mental health. We have to want to live a completely different lifestyle, to say 'enough is enough.' What we should be saying is: "I am going to change my perceptions and lifestyle, where can I buy the books to help me?" Out of a family of 6, I have seen three family members die to cancer.

  1. Hi Ilana, Every 1 out of 2 will get cancer is indeed very alarming.

Me too, I've lost more than ten friends (not just acquaintances) to cancer in the last 7 years. Only one of those detected with cancer 5 years ago is still alive. This world is sick. It doesn't matter how advanced we think we are.

No modern medicine can effectively cure cancer. It has created many cures but not for cancers, not for many of the chronic diseases.

Apart from acceptance, what can one do? Apart from treasuring what's in the present, what better thing to do?

But there's one thing I believe we can do. Put our hope in GOD.

    1. Hi Will and welcome to the site. Sorry to hear of your losses also. Yes, the stats are very alarming. And we're not changing anything.

What can we do? We can work on mental health. Work on our issues, talk about things. Stop ignoring the things we don't want to deal with.

We can mentally and emotionally come together, to offer support and for others to be a support to us. The reality is we don't come together and Covid-19 has revealed too much already. The world couldn't be more far apart.
