I’ve never shunned away from being accountable or taking responsibility for my mental health. But since Covid-19 the world has changed, and we have become invisible.

I hope that my writing will strike a chord, for those taking responsibility, for those accepting they need to be proactive. It’s time to pull back, before we fail to come back. Having already lost three members of my family to cancer, all of whom dealt with mental health issues, I have seen what mental health can do.

We become invisible when we feel threatened. Mental health needs to be a thing, but instead, it's being ignored. It’s not something we give much thought on, but something that will come back to bite. I say will and not can, because I have seen first-hand, how when mental health is overlooked, it comes back. Suicide is also on the rise.

So, let's use 2023 to change how you view and deal with your mental health. Use 2023 to take charge of your mental health; use 2023 to take responsibility and to be accountable for how you feel. Use 2023 to be visible, to think about and help others who have more challenges than you do, because you can and because doing so can make a difference. When we help others, we're helping ourselves mentally too.

Let’s use 2023 to read the book on mental health, to incorporate the changes, so that we can become healthier and happier, and so that we can live happier, and more fruitful lives. Imagine what that would look like if we all did it.

  1. It's never too late to change how you view and deal with your mental health and I can think of no better way to start 2023 by buying your books to help improve our mental health.

    1. I can't force, but hope people will see the merit to want to deal with their mental health.

All my books including Survival: The Covid Years can be the catalyst of change in 2023.

And without that nothing will change, just another year notched up.
