It's now 20 days into February and I am still not feeling like I did pre-Covid days. Poorly from the first week in December with Covid, I’m now recovering from a cough and flu virus, which is slow to go. Losing my twin in December 2022 is adding to my woes.

I am sure I have long-covid. I wake up with a sore throat, a blocked nose, a continual headache and a lack of energy. My mental health is up and down. I'm in a catch 22. I want to push myself, but my symptoms are making it difficult.

Three years into Covid and the virus caught me through no fault of my own. I'm lucky because with a physical disability, I thought I would be worse. Slow to go, I shall continue with my natural remedies and continue to work on my mental and emotional health.

I'd love to hear from anyone who is in a similar position who has picked up either Covid and a cough and cold virus, and it is slow to go. I've had a cough and cold before, but nothing like this.

Losing my twin is hampering my recovery. I need to use what's happened in the last few months to move forward, to move on from my previous life, with my twin.

What Writing Taught Me About Self-Understanding

How writing became more than a creative outlet When I started writing, I had no idea where it would lead. I simply needed somewhere to put my thoughts – a place to make sense of experiences I struggled to understand ...

  1. It is truly sad that you've had to deal with Covid through no fault of your own. We spent a good 2 years being extra careful, since my fiance has COPD, but then someone brought it into the house by sheer carelessness.

People are acting like Covid has just magically gone away, when that is so obviously far from the truth. I'm hoping and praying that things will change soon, for the better.

Hope you feel better very soon!

    1. Thanks Randy. I can appreciate your predicament also. The reality is Covid hasn't gone and we may all continue to struggle with reinfection, with more potential pandemics.

It would be prudent for us all to mask up and take the virus seriously. For those who have a precondition, like me and your girlfriend, I hope more people will mask up.
