A mental health journey is different for everyone. The CP Diary started as a place for me to explore, to come to understand a disability I didn’t know I had. But in 13-years it’s so much more than that.
My blog talks about our everyday struggles
My blog talks about our every-day struggles, not just mine. It’s a health and wellbeing blog, it’s a lifestyle blog. It’s a healthy lifestyle blog. It’s also a mental health blog. It’s a blog where I get to blog about anything and everything that not only affects me but affects you too.
It's a place where peace and calm reside
It’s a place where peace and calm reside, where one can sit with one’s thoughts, even when the world around you is falling apart. It’s a safe space, a space where you can think about things without the intrusion, of what’s going on around you and in your world. It’s not just my place where peace and calm reside, or my safe space too, it’s yours too.
It's a community, a forum
To keep it up and for it to work, for me to offer you support, we need to be frequenting that space, to occupy it, to absorb its contents. It’s a community, a forum, a place where you participate and respond, so that you can mentally stimulate at the same time as working on ‘calm.’
What started as a blog for me has grown into a blog for each of us. Starting our mental health journey frees up space to get on with living, with life without the constant barrage of intrusive thoughts.
I’d love to hear your thoughts – and what you would like to read about in particular.
