Reflecting on the Year

We’re coming up to that time of year again – the time when I begin to reflect on my life:
what I’ve done and what I haven’t,
what I wanted to do but never quite got around to,
what I failed to do because of confidence issues,
missed opportunities,
and the quiet weight of living with regret.

Perhaps, therefore, we should all use 2015 as a turning point.
It doesn’t have to be anything big – just something that allows us to change the way we see our lives,
so that we give ourselves another chance to change
and to live differently.

In the meantime, we still have Christmas.
And for now, that is enough.
