Our lives are based on our own personal choices, our attitude and behaviour are based on our upbringing, but as the adult we can choose to change those things.

As a child, even though my mental struggles were there, I somehow knew what was happening, wasn’t about me. But we can become our own worst enemy, when we don’t address things and yet others can see those things and the excuses continue to pile high.

I was around 14-years old when I came to realise the life I was made to live, wasn’t the life I wanted to live. I’ve talked about a higher power in my book Cerebral Palsy: ‘A Story’. I was aware of my environment and the effect that had on me, and although I didn’t understand what any of it meant until later, in my own case, I had to bide my time.

We have the 'power to change'

Choose action over denial and acceptance, instead of non-acceptance. Where you have the power to change, you may deny there is any reason to change. It is usually something that is down to someone else, and the issue with that is that if there is something that you're not dealing with, it may be something you later wish you had.

Time to think, time to change

We can choose to build better habits, live a different life, and choose to be better people. We may fall short though, when we live the lives we’re living, without thinking about how we can live better lives. Over the years, it's something I've had to continue to hone in on.

Ingrained beliefs

The beliefs we carry are usually ingrained in us from a young age. Beliefs pass through the generations that may not always have a place in our lives. It is important to understand, to evolve, to spiritually grow and to change.

  1. You're right, we often develop attitudes and behaviours and make bad decisions, becoming our own worst enemy.

There are many reasons why we can follow this path, but the remedy is here @The CPDiary and in both your books.

We can all change negative behaviours and feed our souls with your guidance and that's why everyone should have your books on their coffee table.

    1. Thank you. My books are very much the antidote, because they not only bring understanding on a life lived, but they bring understanding on how we can go about changing our lives successfully.

I follow my own practices and have never looked back. I hope others will follow your lead, and pick up a copy of either of my books, or if they're feeling generous, buy both books.

      Proceeds to go to charity.
