My father is around me. When you talk about an aroma in spiritual terms, it evokes a very strong memory of the past. My father used to smoke one cigarette a day, that same smell has been around me for a good while now.

It wasn’t the smell you get when you light up for the first time. This smell was mid light and the smoke had been circulating for some time. As I walk around the house I am getting the same smell.

When loved ones communicate from spirit

My father is communicating, sending me positive messages. He’s proud of me, and of my writing; he is proud of what I have achieved. He says what I do is a gift to the world that I am not confined.

Our 'guardian angels'

I know that my aunt (who passed when my mum was a teenager) is also around me and is my ‘guardian angel.’ What I love is that she has been observing me for a good while now, looking on fondly as she acknowledges my achievements.

I tend not to see my accomplishments or understand what I have achieved in that way. For me, it's not the accomplishments, it's changing the way I feel about my life, through some very dark days.

Through readings where both my parents have been present, it is wonderful to know they now championing my work together. This is an accomplishment for me.
