Someone once told me that my blogs showed my ability to work through my life with ease. It may look like that but that’s not always how it is.

But the comment did get me thinking. There are times when I struggle. But it’s important for me to continue to understand and recognise my struggles so that I am able to work on getting past them. As a child, I lived with anxiety and stress, so it was important I found ways through. As an adult that is what I continue to do.

I know that when we don’t speak out, or deal with our issues, it hurts us more. Not always in the short term because we cope, but in the longer term our thoughts and struggles can lead to low moods or bouts of depression.

I have my down days, but I also need to find solutions to help me feel better about what I deal with. I find that writing, talking and being honest about my feelings are the best ways for me to come to terms with my experiences.

Expressing myself brings clarity. When other people share their feelings too through my blog, it helps me to know that I' m not alone.

  1. I agree with you. Not dealing with problems sometimes makes it worse.

If you deal with problems you will feel like you have taken control of the situation and it will make you feel stronger in the long run.

    1. You're right Randy. We will feel more in control the more we deal with our problems. Experience of dealing with problems also give us that. I hope the Diary helps you too.

  2. I definitely need to work on things better.

I just don't have the guts to confront my problems when I should and deal with them in my own time, but eventually they get dealt with.

It does help me to read your posts. They give me confidence that I lack sometimes. Thank you Ilana.

    1. Thanks Lisa. Maybe reading more of my blogs will give you even more confidence. Thank you for your kind words of me.:)
