Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't the only one writing for Mental Health. When I started writing for The CP Diary in 2010, I didn't know what I was going to write about, all I had was my gut telling me I needed to write.

Fast forward to 2023, with so much responsibility, mental health is being ignored and it's getting harder to write. In a world that is changed, expectations and opinions are also sky high. In 2010, although writing didn't start out as my biggest challenge, it has now become my biggest challenge.

The CP Diary raises awareness

What The CP Diary does is raise awareness and highlights mental health challenges, through topics that affect us all, in a way we can relate and understand, then it's up to us to take those pointers on board. I hope that as I continue to raise awareness, my writing sends a message on why we need to be proactive with our mental health.

Mental Health Issues equals Illness

While what I write may sometimes hit a nerve, a nerve that doesn't always sit well, sometimes it's necessary into taking action, to be proactive. But mental health issues don't go away until we deal with those. Instead, those issues may turn into low moods, anxiety, depression and in many cases, illness and a potential untimely death.

Until I started my blog, I dealt with mental health issues behind the scenes. The CP Diary has given me a voice, an outlet to be able to talk about mental health. As I continue to write, my blog, continues to help me work on my mental health, and also for those who are prepared to put the work in.
