I'm not happy about my Keratosis. Seeing my reflection yesterday made me realise how much of the problem I still have, because I look as if I have aged with the condition.

My mum always tried to instil in me from an early that it was important for me to look after myself and although I still make every effort, there are days where I simply struggle because of facial keratosis. I tend to switch off to it, so I don’t have to think about it.

My skin dries out with the condition at certain parts of the year, when I have problems applying makeup that bothers me. I was told that the only way to solve this problem was to move abroad. It’s not a consideration for the foreseeable, since school, university and work commitments are here, but we can never say never.

My specialist believes that living in a warmer climate would acclimatise my skin therefore reducing the problem of the keratosis. It seriously should be a consideration; if it may help me reduce the condition; or better still get rid of it completely.

The problem would be trying to work out where we would want to live. Now that wouldn’t be such a bad problem, would it?

  1. I think the thought of moving abroad eventually is a positive one, knowing that within a relatively short time the Keratosis will be sorted.

The UK feels tropical this week. Maybe the way global warming is going you won't have to move at all.

    1. They say that, but the realities around the English summer always seems to be the opposite and the winters are too cold.

Not sure right now staying put is an option for me, particularly!
