  1. Wow, I wish it was that easy for me to do. My life has been spent hoping that tomorrow would be a better day, without a lot of thought about what happened when tomorrow got here.

I grew up in a world where we were made to believe that things were always going to be the same, without any real hope of things changing for the better, no matter what we did.

My parents suffered until the very end blaming each other for our problems, which was the saddest thing for us to watch.

In the past year, I have fought to change my life for the better and I have to say that while it hasn't been easy, it was definitely worth it in the long run.

    1. Thanks Randy. Yes, as children going through trauma that is exactly what we wish for.

As the adult, although it is hard to turn our back on what we know and what we have learned, we can with patience and with work on ourselves, address and change our future.

As you say, 'in the past year, I have fought to change my life for the better,' and you have Randy. Now you must continue to work on and change aspects of your life that you're still not happy with.

What's gone has gone. You cannot change your past, but you can continue to change your life.

  2. If only life was as simple as this quote. I do agree with the sentiment, but unfortunately reality often gets in the way.

    1. Thanks. Yes, I agree reality can get in the way, but we must find a way to get past that.

We all have it in us to be able to do that.

  3. I consider myself a pretty lucky guy, because I still dream and I still have hope. I'm not waiting to be buried, alive.

So I'm not afraid to live my dreams like I was before.

    1. I think you're a lucky guy Tim, because you have the ability to dream and live with hope. If we have one out of two in life, we're doing well.

As a child I lived with hope but didn't know it was hope; but it was there. I do think attitude matters though. The more positive the attitude, the more we will have and live with hope.

The more we live with hope, the more we dare to dream and dream. It's what continues to give us a focus and if we succeed the life we want to live.
