Something inspirational:

"The hypocrisy of some is that we like to think of ourselves as sophisticated and evolved, but we're still also driven by primal urges like greed and power."

  1. We have evolved, but at a snail's pace. Even the most sophisticated are as primitive as the rest of us.

If a bunch of aliens abducted us today, they'd probably throw us back, saying nothing much here.

Perhaps we'll evolve faster, when we realize that something is much greater than ourselves, much greater than politics, money and power.

    1. Thanks Tim. Well now you put it like that, it's easy to see how and why you think the human species is not as evolved as it could be. I have to agree.

In terms of 'spirituality' we haven't evolved. For anyone who understands spirituality, they will have lapped it up. It is the glue that keeps us connected to the cosmos, to each other, in ways that help us to evolve.

Without practising spirituality, evolving can't happen, because the other side is the 'earthly side.' We are mostly earthly and not spiritual.

So, where you say in your last para, 'perhaps we'll evolve faster, when we realise that something is much greater than ourselves, much greater than politics, money and power - you're talking about spirituality.

When you learn to be spiritual, life becomes greater, we become greater, not to be confused with the ego, and we shall all evolve.
