Something inspirational:

"It isn't until you come to a spiritual understanding of who you are - not necessarily a religious feeling, but deep down, the spirit within - that you can begin to take control."

  1. Learning to know ourselves is an essential part of a spiritual life. The better our self-understanding, the more accurate our perceptions will be of everything else.

Conversely, the less we know about ourselves, the more distorted our perceptions will be and the less able we will be to live to our fullest potential, as we’ll always be imprisoned by the scripts and identities that have been given to us by others.

    1. Thanks, and you're absolutely right. Being imprisoned by the scripts and identities of others is soul destroying.

Given my experiences, I can testify to that, but that has changed. I think many of have and continue to live that life, oblivious this is the life we're living.

Our lives tend to be on auto-pilot.

    2. Religion can be very destructive, as controversial as that statement is, but it's relevant.

Having said that, a spiritual understanding is enlightenment not controlled by man. It's the universe inside of you.

      1. Thanks Tim. 'A spiritual understanding is enlightenment not controlled by man' - it absolutely is and is my world.

We need more spiritual connections with each other and with the universe. We're not learning our lessons and need to.
