I find myself mentally struggling and not for the first time. I have always written things down, I find it a good way to release how I feel, to talk about things, to talk about things not within my reach, or grasp. Writing helps me to place things better, to come to terms with what I have to deal with mentally and emotionally living with a disability. Neuralgia nerve pain is new.
Neuralgia
My blog has been helpful to me over the years. Truth be told I've found it difficult since my twin died to function in what is my new normal. Life isn't the same for me anymore. The pandemic was never easy, losing my twin in the pandemic is something I'm struggling to come to terms with. Two or three months since my twin passed, and I am now living with neuralgia.
My neuralgia
The stress through losing my twin is the reason I now have neuralgia. Having done some research, I believe in my case, it is idiopathic, with my twin's passing tipping my health over the edge. For anyone living with neuralgia it's a difficult thing to live with. It scares me. I feel myself falling, not something I have complete control over, but something I continue to have to manage. Although my pain threshold was quite high as a child, neuralgia is something I can't always mentally get a handle on.
Shedding a light on neuralgia
I have an appointment to see a neuralgia consultant in just over three weeks, when hopefully I get to shed some light on my neuralgia. In my case, I believe it is idiopathic and has got something to do with my initial brain injury.
For anyone who struggles with neuralgia, you have my sympathy, please get in touch.
It must be enormously difficult coping with chronic pain every day. I hope the consultant's appointment is able to provide you with some answers and hopefully a way forward to help.
Thanks. I'm working on things holistically and do have a little bit of relief, but I'm certainly not out of the woods. I have to be fastidious with my supplement routine.
The symptoms fit for sure. We'll have to see. Either way, it's scary because the pain comes with little to no warning.
