My spirituality, even as far back as a child has kept me grounded, humbled. Today it still does. I couldn’t write without it. It walks into the room before I do. I have never needed the material kind to keep me happy.

Spirituality and gratitude

My life is based on spirituality. It has taught me the importance of gratitude, not constantly chasing after more. Spirituality has helped me to see the beauty in simplicity, to appreciate the small things in life. I like to spend time in reflection, and with my family, going for walks, to observe nature. I am humbled by nature, fascinated by it. These are the things that make me happy, not material possessions or fame.

Spirituality and peace

Spirituality highlights a path that brings me peace, a place where I am able to live modestly. I’m not one to sing my own praises, I don’t have the desire to be recognised, admired, or celebrated. I am not arrogant and I don't have an ego. I am just me, doing what I love to do and that is to write.

Spirituality and staying humbled

Spirituality has helped me to see the world from different perspectives. It is an integral part of who I am. It has shaped my values, my worldview, and my approach to life. As I continue to live my life, it helps me to stay grounded, humble, and grateful. Without it, I doubt I would be the same person today.
