As a child I struggled, physically, mentally, and emotionally with a disability I didn’t know I had, and as a result I was outwardly struggling and that changed who I was. I remember my mother telling me if I had nothing better to say, then I shouldn’t say anything at all. But it wasn't my fault. I was crying out for help, seeking attention badly and human kindness.
We should all be kind
Being kind is selfless, it’s caring, it’s unconditional – unless it’s conditional where you’re being kind to get something back. Being kind is being compassionate. No matter our struggles, we can all show our human side, we can be kind, we can smile, offer a kind deed, or a kind word.
It’s a movement, you’re paying forward. It can be a chain reaction. It’s creating change, it’s showing others your caring side. ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’ is one person acting with good intention, creating change, a ripple effect around other people, being that change in the global sense.
Kindness is a Good Deed
Be kind to yourself and be intentional about it. Kindness inspires, it’s positive reinforcement. Wars are created through hate. Personal relationships can’t function successfully without being kind. A kind word, a kind deed, they contribute to fairness, equality, to our ability to function well both mentally and emotionally.
In a world which is changed by the pandemic, which we're still having to deal with, many people are still struggling, be kind.
